Why adding a blog to your portfolio?

Updated: Mar 7, 2023

Because there you can tell stories in a more informal way than on your portfolio gallery. The benefit of it is that you can share behind the scenes pictures and the client can get a better image of your work way and basically picture you at work. Also, it is a chance to connect through words in personal ways, additional to your professional imagery. I feel that by having a blog next to your portfolio, you allow people to connect to your person and not only your profession and this creates an extra motivation for people to want to work with you. Also, when people sign up to your blog and get an e-mail of an update, you are building a relationship and reminding your (potential) customers about your services. But not only your services, a blog also allows you to spread a message you believe in but cannot add in your professional portfolio.
